While riding my bike through traffic on Michigan Ave this morning and listening to an old playlist on shuffle on my ipod, Les Savy Fav’s “The Sweat Descends” suddenly cut to 3-6 Mafia’s “Gotta Stay Fly.” Breathtaking to say the least. Beyond the probability that this was the first time in history these songs have been played in sequence, the question occurred to me- where would 3-6 Mafia be today if Tennessee did not rhyme with Hennessy?
Enjoy.
